Thanks in advance evanw Try Method 2 in the guide (reverting to a previous system restore point) and let me know if that fixes the problem. This update was supposed to fix another update issue: Some 64 bit OS’s cannot update to Vista SP2.
If you're still having difficulties, I would recommend trying a free antivirus program as an alternative. Your advice is very helpful!! Is Microsoft even aware of this problem? Three times with two different USB devices, a flash drive, and a card reader.
