Ever since I installed (And reinstalled several times) Windows 7 X64, professional, I keep getting BSOD's. Sure enough, the problem returned today and so I ran Microsoft's Security Essentials full scan again. I've looked into it several times, and given up because everywhere I go its all "the Stop 0x00000124 bsod is generic, it could be anything...". Since this is apparently a hardware error, I've been trying to rule out my hardware. Source

I will keep posting on here regularly to see if theres a new symptom. You should look inside your case and make sure all fans are working and clear of dust. Meanwhile here is inportant information on the 0x124 error. 0x124: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR and is described as "A fatal hardware error has occurred." This error code and definition has replaced the older XP goin to check for new motherboard and I'll update if it solves the problem.
